INTERKO ETH ripening room features a central, longitudinal cooler which runs the length of the room to create a maximum surface area, minimise temperature differential (and therefore dehumidification), and minimise product loss.
Each pair of pallets is served by one fan to ensure the air flow is channeled evenly across all pallets. The temperature and ripening is therefore uniform in every pallet. Our proprietary, highly optimised fan design means the air flow can be reversed (without impacting on efficiency) to ensure the inner and outer boxes of fruit have the same temperature and therefore ripen equally.
The air guidance system comes complete with our robust side curtains and fixed or moveable baffles. Side curtains ensure that pressure can be built up and air is pushed through the pallets. The vertical separation baffles make it possible to divide up the room, depending on the required capacity of the room.
ETH systems can be executed on one, two or three levels, complete with racking systems if required. All our steel racking structures are designed to and fully comply with EUROCODE 2 regulations, and even take into consideration the potential impact of a forklift truck.
The rooms, including our racking system, are designed to handle different pallet sizes, such as the standard ISO pallets (1.2m x 1m), Euro pallets (0.8m x 1.2m) or even pallets commonly used in the Philippines (1.07m x 1.05m).
Rooms can be fully or partially loaded. Each room is constructed to hold the number of pallets you require based on your logistical operations.
For a two-level room, ETH comes with our free-floor system. This arc-like structure supports the second level from above, freeing up the ground level to allow users to move around for inspections without any obstruction.
