Video by Weber Cooling
Weber Cooling counts on a series of videos explaining the Vacuum Cooliing process applied to a wide range of products. One of the videos deals with produce cooling, with a leafy vegetable as example.
The VIDEO shows the steps:
The product is placed in the vaccum cooler and the chamber is sealded.
The pump starts working and decreases the air pressure in the chamber. The boiling point is thus lowered.
The present moisture in the products starts boiling as watervapor.
The boiling process requires heat which is withdrawn from the product, allowing it to cool down.
The vacuum pump drains the watervapor through the condensor.
The cycle is finished, the products are cooled and the pressure returns to 1000 mbar.
The condensated water is discharged and the cooling system is ready for the next load.
