Effective technologies for pomegranate conservation to overcome new challenges

Effective technologies for pomegranate conservation to overcome new challenges

Pre-sales technologies for pomegranate preservation

The pandemic caused by Covid-19 shook the agricultural export industry, being the pomegranate market one of the most affected. Sanitary restrictions imposed to prevent contagion around the world prevented the entry of this fruit to different markets, where Peru saw a decrease in exports, being one of the main pomegranate producers in the southern hemisphere.

One of the problems that the industry faced once the sanitary crisis broke out was the exhaustive sanitary controls imposed in some markets, such as China, where they began to demand shipments of safe and innocuous products, with packaging that would allow flexibility in the event of unexpected delays. A new reality to face.

Faced with this scenario, PACLIFE used technology in favor of the new times to allow the safe transport of pomegranate, ensuring its conservation for up to 150 days, which translates into fruit with very low dehydration and weight loss, in addition to arils with better flavor, tastana without browning, crowns hydrated for longer and an ideal cosmetic.

In addition to its technology, PacLife completes the service by providing post-harvest technical advice through a specialized team in each country. A work that allows to achieve the best results with the production year after year.
