Two models at once
Baskets, trays and other types of consumer packaging, which until recently were predominantly made of plastic, are now being converted to recycled plastics and, increasingly, to cardboard, whether micro-corrugated or solid board. Among the "classic" manufacturers of plastic baskets, there are already some who also offer the alternative based on wood derivatives, and among the manufacturers of carton packs, many have already incorporated consumer packaging into their range of products.
This consumer demand is also met by a company such as TECO, a leader in carton and tray forming equipment, which is present in the various countries of the world where the fruit and vegetable business is important. Teco also offers high-performance and versatile equipment for forming trays or baskets from cardboard, both compact and microwaveable.
The FT04 automatic cardboard tray erector, on display in the company's stand at Macfrut, is capable of producing two different models at the same time.
