Launched in 2023, AGROSTA's Rose texture analyzer stands out as an indispensable tool for postharvest laboratories.

Its versatility allows for application across a wide range of fruits and vegetables. It can measure up to 17 kg of pressure and is suitable for both crisp fruits in penetrometry and soft fruits in deformation measurement.

Equipped with a touchscreen, Rose comes with an Android and a Windows application (including a lightweight version of Excel). With the capacity to store up to 50 batches in its memory,

Rose can seamlessly transfer data via Bluetooth to an Android phone or tablet, as well as to a Windows computer.

Texture Analysis in Raspberries

In the following video, a series of tests conducted at a Canadian university is showcased. The appropriate parameters were identified to achieve highly precise results in raspberries, where firmness is directly related to maturity.

For this purpose, a 200-gram trigger was used to close the raspberry before the measurement began, with an 8 mm travel to compress the fruit. The maximum pressure exerted was recorded.
