Thermal control in industrial buildings, logistics centres and cold rooms is a key factor for both energy efficiency and product conservation. In this context, ANGEL MIR develops high-speed door solutions designed to minimise the entry of cold or warm air at each opening and closing cycle, reducing energy losses and improving indoor working conditions.
These solutions support energy savings, more stable indoor temperature control and reduced air drafts inside the facility, which is particularly relevant in industrial environments with frequent goods movement.
In access points with a high opening frequency, operating speed is essential to limit temperature loss. The SPEED SECC high-speed sectional door enables opening speeds of up to 1.8 m/s and closing speeds of 0.6 m/s, reducing exposure time between areas with different temperatures.
It incorporates a 40 mm sandwich panel for thermal insulation and 24 cm panels that provide mechanical strength. It features RC3 anti-intrusion certification and a guiding system in aluminium and high-resistance polyethylene, with installation adaptable to the lintel height. Optional LED lighting can be integrated along the guide path, and safety is reinforced by a photocell curtain up to 2,500 mm high. As it does not include counterbalance springs, maintenance costs are also reduced.
For indoor or outdoor access points exposed to strong wind, the INSTANT PASS solution provides fast opening and closing with different insulated curtain configurations depending on thermal requirements, including versions with a foamed curtain or intermediate filling.
In industrial cold environments with high temperature differentials, such as cold rooms, insulation requirements are higher. For these applications, ANGEL MIR offers the ISO Vertical, a high-speed door with a guillotine-type opening system and a high-resistance roll-up curtain that incorporates a 100 mm mobile insulating panel.
Unlike conventional single or double curtain high-speed doors, which can generate frost, humidity or condensation, ISO Vertical avoids these issues and maintains temperature both in the door panel and the frame. The column structure integrates internal insulation to eliminate thermal bridging, improving overall system efficiency and providing resistance both externally and internally.
The 2 mm thick curtain holds FDA certification, is suitable for food use, and has antifungal and antibacterial properties. The structure is pre-lacquered and can optionally be manufactured in stainless steel.
Its modular curtain design means that, in the event of an impact, the modules detach without breaking and can be easily refitted, or only the damaged panels can be replaced. As an additional option, an air curtain can be incorporated to prevent moisture entry caused by thermal shock in cold rooms without a dehumidification system. The door offers different installation options, including top, left-side, right-side or combined configurations, and it can be integrated with other products such as fire-rated sliding doors.
