Catalytic Generators, a leading innovator in ethylene application technology for the fresh produce industry, together with its sister company QA Supplies, has announced its sponsorship of the upcoming 2026 Fruit Ripening and Quality Management Workshop.

This event is an updated East Coast adaptation of the renowned Fruit Ripening and Ethylene Management Workshop originally developed by the University of California, Davis. The new edition will offer produce professionals essential insights to enhance fruit quality and operational efficiency.

The workshop will take place on January 8–9, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia, in conjunction with the Southeast Fruit and Vegetable Conference. It is designed for shippers, fruit handlers, wholesale and retail produce managers, and other stakeholders in the fresh produce supply chain.

The program will address critical topics in fruit ripening and quality management. Participants will explore strategies to minimize losses, optimize ripening processes and deliver superior, ready-to-eat products to consumers. Sessions will cover advancements in ripening, facility and room design, temperature management, maturity assessment and technological innovations, as well as networking opportunities and hands-on demonstrations with industry experts.

Greg Akins, President & CEO of Catalytic Generators and QA Supplies, explained:

“Catalytic Generators and QA Supplies are thrilled to support this workshop, which aligns seamlessly with our commitment to advancing postharvest technologies that help maintain the highest standards of produce quality and safety.”

Akins also highlighted the focus on profitability across the supply chain:

“By sponsoring this event, we aim to empower attendees with the knowledge and tools to implement effective ripening programs and ensure optimum retail quality, which ultimately drives profitability.”

Catalytic Generators’ support for the workshop reflects its longstanding commitment to helping the industry translate ripening science into reliable, day-to-day practice. Drawing on decades of focused expertise, the company understands the pressures producers and distributors face as expectations of consistency and product quality continue to rise.

Its technology and guidance have become integral to ripening operations of all sizes, showing how practical, proven ethylene application solutions can support better fruit quality and more resilient ripening programs. This reinforces the value of continued knowledge-sharing across the supply chain – a principle at the heart of the workshop.

Registration for the workshop is now open, with limited spots available to facilitate interactive learning. Interested professionals can find full registration details and the complete program on the official Southeast Fruit and Vegetable Conference website.
