The award will take place during the 14th edition of Interpoma, the international trade fair specialized in apple cultivation and the apple industry, which will be held from 25 to 27 November 2026 at Fiera Bolzano (Italy).
The 2026 edition will focus on spraying and treatment application technologies, including advanced spraying systems, sensors, drones, and digital tools aimed at improving application precision and the sustainability of field interventions.
According to the organizers, the goal is to highlight technologies capable of optimizing production factors and addressing the sector’s current challenges in terms of efficiency and sustainability.
Applications will be open exclusively to Interpoma exhibitors and may be submitted until 30 September 2026 through the form available on the event’s website.
The proposals will be evaluated by a technical jury chaired by Massimo Tagliavini, professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. The committee also includes specialists from universities and research institutions in Italy and Germany.
The winner will be announced on 26 November during the Interpoma Congress.
The organizers will once again include the Visitors’ Choice Award, an open vote allowing visitors to select the most outstanding technologies showcased in the “Orchard of the Future” area.
