Analytica Alimentaria confirmed as an inspection body for plant health

The purpose of plant health control is to prevent the introduction and spread of diseases and pests that pose a threat to native plants. Certain types f goods of plant origin are subject to mandatory control upon importation. These products are referred to as "regulated commodities" and must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin. These controls at the airport are the responsibility of the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture and Land Consolidation (LELF). Since 01/07/2022, plant health checks for samples from non-EU countries can be carried out independently on arrival at the Analytica Alimentaria laboratory in Kleinmachnow, Germany. This was preceded by an inspection of the premises by the LELF. The staff from the registry was trained to act in case of suspicion according to Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 - "Plant Health Regulation". The great advantage for our customers: Improved response times as possible delays due to an official plant health inspection at the airport are avoided. After customs clearance, the samples are immediately forwarded to the laboratory in the T1 procedure.
