On August 31 URSCHEL celebrated opening the new Chesterton location with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Urschel U.S.A., the worldwide leader in manufacturing and selling high capacity food cutting equipment has out-grown its Valparaiso facility, and moved into the newly constructed 350,000+ square foot, 32.500 m2, state-of-the-art facility in the neighboring area of Chesterton, Indiana. The 160-acre, 65 ha, property allows for future company expansions. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony coincided with the first international sales meeting at our new facility in Chesterton, Indiana. From August 31 through September 2 Urschel employees and representatives from all over the world met and collaborated together. Through its engineering-driven spirit, Urschel Laboratories, Inc., founded in 1910, leads the world in designing, manufacturing, and selling of precision food cutting solutions. Food processing equipment produced by Urschel include over 50 different machines: commercial potato chip slicers, high capacity cheese shredders, dicers for a wide array of fruits and vegetables, high speed french fry cutters, meat dicers, peanut butter manufacturing mills, fish processing equipment, poultry dicers, precision lettuce shredders, crumblers for bakery rework, bulk bread cubers, wet and dry milling.
