ULMA Packaging will take part in Fruit Attraction 2026, the leading international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, which will be held from 6 to 8 October at IFEMA Madrid. The company will be located in Hall 10, Stand 10D28.
In a context marked by efficiency, sustainability and flexibility, ULMA Packaging will present packaging solutions for fruit and vegetables designed to optimize processes, reduce consumption and facilitate adaptation to new materials and market requirements.
During the trade fair, the company will showcase applications developed with more sustainable materials, as well as technological advances aimed at improving process control and facilitating the integration of equipment into digitalized production environments.
Flow Pack solution for Conference pears in a cardboard tray with paper-based film and mesh
One of the applications to be presented will be a Flow Pack packaging solution for Conference pears in a cardboard tray, using paper-based film with a mesh window.
This application, developed on the FR 200 Flow Pack wrapper, supports the transition toward more sustainable packaging formats by reducing the use of plastic and facilitating the incorporation of recyclable, compostable or paper-based materials.
As a new feature, the equipment will incorporate the Flex-Set system, which allows the sealing jaws to be adjusted in less than one minute, easily and without the need for tools. This functionality enables Flow Pack equipment to work with plastic or paper-based films of different thicknesses.

The system reduces adjustment times and makes it easier to adapt the machine to different materials or formats, providing greater agility in production environments where flexibility is key.
In the field of tray sealing, ULMA Packaging will present a solution for packaging fruit and vegetables in recyclable cardboard trays sealed with compostable cellulose film, developed on the TSA 680 P traysealer.

This application helps optimize the use of materials in tray-sealed products and significantly reduces the presence of plastic, without compromising product protection, functionality or presentation.
The TSA 680 P combines high performance and versatility, with the ability to work with RPET, cardboard or compostable trays, as well as recyclable or compostable lidding films. In this way, it facilitates adaptation to new regulations and market demands without sacrificing productivity.
In addition to its packaging solutions, ULMA Packaging will present technological tools at Fruit Attraction aimed at turning production data into faster and more efficient decisions.
Its equipment incorporates smart systems to monitor air, gas, electricity and film consumption in real time. This information makes it possible to better understand the cost per pack, optimize resources and improve the energy performance of the line.

Digital tools for monitoring consumption, performance and traceability in packaging lines
The company will also showcase solutions designed to simplify day-to-day production management, such as centralized recipe management, which speeds up format changes and reduces errors, and automatic reporting, which generates PDF reports with key data on performance, OEE, consumption and traceability.
These data can be integrated with systems such as ERP or SCADA and automatically sent to the customer’s FTP server or to MyULMA, facilitating analysis and continuous improvement of packaging lines.
