Xedafos L, solvent wax for fruits

Xedafos L, by Xeda, is used for coating of apples and pears. Composed of natural shellac in alcohol solvent, it is a food additive that is part of the Green Line. It is applied in postharvest and forms a film, protective to the gases; this coating improves the appearance of the fruit, slows aging and yellowing and water loss by evaporation.
