AgroFresh has successfully completed the first half of its AgroFresh Xperience 2026 programme, an initiative designed to bring technical knowledge, innovation and practical insights closer to professionals in the European fresh produce sector.

Between February and June, AgroFresh organised ten technical meetings, including in-person events and specialised webinars, in Germany, Spain, France and Morocco. The programme brought together growers, cooperatives, exporters, fruit and vegetable packing houses and sector specialists to share knowledge and discuss the trends shaping the future of postharvest.

This year’s edition began in February during Fruit Logistica in Berlin, with a session focused on the global trends transforming the fresh produce supply chain. AgroFresh Xperience then continued across different markets and strategic crops, offering content adapted to the specific needs of each region.

In Spain, the programme included a meeting in Mérida focused on stone fruit, as well as specialised events in Girona and Lleida dedicated to apple production and Harvista™ solutions, organised together with distributors Agrosalvi and AgroMòdol. The Spanish cycle was completed with a meeting in Valencia focused on the citrus sector.

Tomatoes also played an important role in AgroFresh Xperience through two webinars aimed at the Moroccan market, where participants explored the potential of SmartFresh™ to help maintain quality and extend the commercial life of tomatoes for export.

In Germany, AgroFresh held a technical meeting in Grafschaft focused on the apple sector, while France hosted two events in Avignon and Saumur, centred on apple and pear production and on the role of Harvista™ in optimizing harvest timing and preserving fruit quality.

Technical exchange meetings

The programme also included additional technical exchange and sector update sessions, which helped broaden the reach of AgroFresh Xperience and strengthen dialogue with different players across the fresh produce value chain.

Cécile Canivet, Marketing Director at AgroFresh, says:

“AgroFresh Xperience was created to provide meeting spaces where professionals in the sector can share knowledge, experiences and best practices. The level of participation recorded during the first half of the year shows the industry’s interest in accessing valuable technical information and learning about innovative solutions that help improve quality, reduce losses and respond to market demands”.

Through this initiative, AgroFresh reinforces its commitment to innovation and knowledge transfer, bringing growers and operators tools that help maintain the quality of fruits and vegetables from harvest to the consumer.

Following the success of the ten meetings held during the first half of the year, AgroFresh will continue to promote new editions of AgroFresh Xperience to keep supporting the sector in the challenges and opportunities that will shape the future of production and postharvest.
