Camfil, a company specialising in clean air solutions headquartered in Stockholm, has acquired Bioconservación (BION), a Spanish provider of air filtration solutions and adsorbents for industrial and commercial customers. Through this operation, Camfil expands the capabilities of its Molecular Contamination Control (MCC) division.
According to the company, the addition of BION brings complementary expertise, technologies and customer relationships to Camfil’s activities in molecular contamination control. The integration will help support customers requiring advanced solutions for managing contaminants in critical environments.
As part of the transaction, BION will become part of Camfil Spain and Camfil’s global Molecular Contamination Control organisation. This will allow BION’s team to collaborate with Camfil’s MCC specialists both locally and internationally while continuing to support customers and develop technical solutions.
Guillaume Gallet, President of Camfil’s MCC division, said:
"BION is a strong strategic fit for Camfil’s Molecular Contamination Control business and strengthens our position in key markets. They bring valuable expertise and experience, and we are pleased to welcome their team to Camfil."
The Camfil Group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and operates 30 manufacturing sites, six R&D centres and local sales offices in more than 35 countries. The company employs more than 6,000 people and serves customers across a wide range of industries.
From BION, the company also highlighted that joining Camfil marks a new stage, combining its experience in gas removal, odour control, biogas purification and postharvest solutions with Camfil’s global network, technology and resources.
