Isolcell attended the latest edition of SIVAL, held in Angers, with a stand designed to support the technical dissemination of its postharvest storage solutions. The company’s presence at the fair took place in a professional context defined by direct interaction with sector operators and the explanation of technologies aimed at preserving product quality.

SIVAL as a meeting point for the horticultural sector

SIVAL is a well-established event within the European horticultural calendar, combining strong links to its surrounding production areas with a clear international outlook. Held in Angers, the fair takes place in a region closely connected to fruit production, where crops intended for medium- and long-term storage play an important role.

Within this framework, the exhibition acts as a meeting point for growers, operators, technicians and technology providers, encouraging information exchange and direct contact with customers. For companies specialised in postharvest solutions, events of this kind make it possible to maintain a local presence, gain insight into market needs and strengthen professional relationships.

Postharvest storage and controlled atmosphere

The core of Isolcell’s presence at SIVAL was linked to its specialisation in postharvest storage solutions based on controlled atmosphere technology. These systems are designed to manage storage conditions for fruit and vegetables after harvest, acting on key parameters such as oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, in combination with refrigeration.

Such solutions make it possible to intervene directly in the respiratory metabolism of the product, a decisive factor in quality evolution during storage. In crops such as apples and pears, commonly stored over medium and long periods, precise atmosphere control is particularly relevant for slowing down ripening and senescence processes.

Isolcell works with different technological configurations within the controlled atmosphere field, including ultra-low oxygen (ULO) systems and dynamic controlled atmosphere (DCA) solutions. These are adapted to the physiological characteristics of the product and to specific storage conditions, with the aim of adjusting the storage environment over time while maintaining quality and reducing process-related risks.

Next stop: Fruit Logistica 2026

Following its participation at SIVAL, Isolcell will continue its trade fair agenda with its presence at Fruit Logistica 2026, to be held in Berlin from 4 to 6 February. The company will be located in Hall 3.1, stand C-64, where it will once again focus on professional exchange and the explanation of its postharvest storage solutions.
