On December 10, representatives of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural (ETSIAMN) de la Universitat Politècnica de València, with the participation of Professor Salvador López Galarza and Dr. Maria Luisa Castelló Gómez, together with representatives of the company SPE3, S.L., represented by its Managing Director, Dr. Alicia Namesny Vallespir, and the editorial team of the Poscosecha.com portal, met to finalize the details of the 9th edition of the course “Postharvest Technology of Citrus and Other Emerging Crops in the Mediterranean Region – UPV 2026.”
During the meeting, the latest technical, academic, and organizational adjustments were reviewed, as well as the key aspects of the final planning of the program. One of the main confirmations was the definitive course schedule, which will begin on January 21 and will end during the week of March 4, when a very special open-door closing event will take place. Further details of this event will be announced at a later date, although the organizers have indicated that it will be of great interest both to course participants and to professionals from the sector.
Both UPV and Poscosecha.com expressed their satisfaction with the excellent response received during the first weeks of registrations, during which a significant number of students and young professionals have shown interest in taking part. This strong demand reinforces the prestige of the course as an international benchmark in the field of postharvest technology, confirming the celebration of its ninth edition and anticipating the continuity of future editions.

The organization placed special emphasis on the importance of attending the course in on-site format, an experience that allows direct interaction with lecturers, closer contact among students, and a much more enriching environment than the online option, although this modality is also available. The objective of this edition is clear: to fill the classrooms and encourage the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and professional opportunities.
