The VePack-P series, by BrimaPack, has been developed for the packing of iceberg lettuce in CPP-film. The packing is closed by means of a seal on the butt of the lettuce. The combination of the “crispy” touch with the seal on the but (“NicePack”) give the Iceberg Lettuce an optimal appeal; whereas the tight packing combined with the film properties (with the micro perforation) ensures an optimal shelf life for the product. The modular VePack-P system can be used in the packhouse or in the field. Harvesting rigs have been equipped with up to 7 (!) packing units; giving an output up to 6.000 heads/hour. The cost savings on labour can be enourmous! In practice the output of a rig can increase from far less then 200 to substantiall more than 400 ha.The VePack-P series- The VePack 200-PH is the stand alone module for pack house operations. This basic system, with manual infeed, is perfectly suited for low cost packing of various products (video) - The VePack 200-PHH is equipped with a compact, automated, horizontal in-feed system (rotating table). This in-feed works as a “buffer”, giving the operator the possibility to reach maximum capacity. - VePack 200-PHV is the system with vertical in feed, with extended list of the possibilities and options. - VePack 200-PRV is the system with vertical in feed, specially adapted for field packaging operations.
