Angel Mir is expanding its facilities

ANGEL MIR has initiated a process of expanding and improving its facilities to increase production capacity and become a more sustainable company. The first major action has been the expansion of the production buildings to reach 42,000m2, allowing more machines for the manufacture of residential doors, industrial doors and loading bay equipment. This new warehouse, which is in the Corçà (Girona) production center, has a special roof designed to allow more natural lighting to enter, with the consequent energy savings and positive effect on workers. The other big work is still going on, which is the installation of solar panels in the same production center with the goal to make a step further for the sustainability and respect to the environment. In this way, the roof of the central offices will be covered with a system of 350 solar panels that will generate green energy helping to prevent global warming. It is estimate that the annual production will be around 260.000KWh, which represents a 45% of the total energy needed to manufacture industrial doors and loading bay equipment, and a reduction in C02 emissions by 80 tons per year. This investment is the result of the desire to continue advancing and growing in the market in a more sustainable way.
