Processing technology for fresh-cut produce at Fruit Logistica 2026

From 4 to 6 February 2026, Sormac participated in Fruit Logistica in Berlin, welcoming customers and business partners at an exhibition stand designed for live demonstrations and professional exchange. Under the theme “Always Fresh: shaping the future of fresh-cut produce”, the company focused on solutions aimed at maintaining processing operations fresh, hygienic, efficient, sustainable and profitable.

The stand combined open meeting areas with operational machinery, allowing visitors to explore both technological developments and practical applications in fresh produce processing. The presence at the fair reinforced Sormac’s positioning within the fresh-cut segment and related processing environments.

Valuable connections with industry partners

Throughout the three-day event, Sormac’s experts and international sales team met with both new and existing partners. As a family-owned business, the company emphasises long-term professional relationships, and the exhibition provided the framework for technical discussions and exchanges on current industry needs.

A special highlight was the Orange Hour held on Thursday evening. For the first time organised during Fruit Logistica, the networking event offered an informal setting for attendees to connect and discuss developments in produce processing. Visitors were able to engage directly with the team and learn more about the technologies on display.

Live machine demonstrations

Live demonstrations formed a central part of the presentation, enabling visitors to observe different stages of produce processing in operation. The portfolio covered peeling, fruit and vegetable cutting, coring, drying and automation solutions designed for fresh produce environments.

Among the machines showcased were the Watermelon peeler MP, the OptiCor OC, the Onion peeler USM-H100, the Belt cutting machine BSM, the PepperCorer PC and the Dicing machine DC-145. These units illustrated practical processing applications, highlighting aspects such as product handling, cutting precision and integration within automated lines.

Aftermovie and follow-up

An aftermovie was released to provide an overview of the atmosphere and key moments at the stand during Fruit Logistica 2026. Sormac indicated its availability to continue discussions beyond the exhibition and to organise customised demonstrations at its facilities, using selected equipment and produce.
