Throughout November, Sormac is taking two of its most advanced machines — the Belt slicer BSM-150 and the Knife peeler UP-4000 — on a UK Roadshow, offering fruit and vegetable processors the chance to experience Sormac’s precision engineering firsthand.
During the tour, customers can see the machines in operation, test them with their own products, and discuss processing and technical possibilities directly with the company’s experts.
The roadshow began this week in London and East Anglia, led by Sormac’s UK representative Dean Stroudley, and will continue throughout the month covering several regions:
Week 1: London & East Anglia
Week 2: South East → South West
Week 3: Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland
Week 4: Scotland & North England
Each stop on the tour offers processors the chance to test the machines with their own products, ensuring real-world results and the opportunity to discuss technical possibilities directly with Sormac specialists.
The Belt slicer BSM-150 is designed for small and medium-sized fruit and vegetable processors seeking maximum flexibility and efficiency. It allows quick product changeovers and offers multiple cutting modes and knife adjustments, all easily managed through pre-programmed settings. With its hygienic and fully cleanable design, the BSM-150 meets the most stringent food safety standards while maintaining high throughput — up to 1,500 kg per hour with a 150 mm belt width — and the ability to store up to 100 programmable recipes.
The Knife peeler UP-4000 combines precision with productivity, delivering a hand-peeled appearance at industrial speed. Its flexible knife arms follow the natural contour of each carrot, ensuring consistent results while preventing flat peeling. This gentle and adaptive approach minimises waste, maximises yield, and guarantees a smooth, uniform finish. The UP-4000 features all-round knife peeling, gentle product handling, and a quick-release system for optimal ease of use.
Availability for the Sormac UK Roadshow is limited. Processors interested in hosting an on-site demonstration can register online, select their preferred machine and date, and a Sormac specialist will arrange the visit.
