Sormac to showcase leading technology for the fresh-cut industry at Pack Expo and Fruit Attraction events

Sormac, a global leader in fresh produce processing machinery, will present its latest innovations at two of the industry’s most influential trade shows this autumn: Pack Expo, Las Vegas (29 September – 1 October 2025) and Fruit Attraction, Madrid (30 September – 2 October 2025). Visitors attending the events will be able to watch the machines in operation, and discover how the company’s leading technology helps fruit and vegetable processors boost quality, efficiency and profitability.

At both exhibitions, Sormac will showcase the BSM Belt Slicer, engineered to deliver superior quality cuts, including straight, cross, julienne, grated and crinkle. Equipped with a full range of blade options, and a self-adjusting top belt that keeps performance smooth, the BSM handles everything from delicate herbs to firm vegetables with consistent accuracy.

Operating at 1,500 RPM speed, the BSM slices at least twice as fast as other comparable machines on the market, delivering clean, precise cuts that avoid product damage and promote optimal shelf life. With a 150 mm (5.9 inch) belt width, 130 mm (5.1 inch) product height allowance, and unmatched throughput of up to 34 cubic meters per hour (1,200 ft³/hr) —nearly three times the output of similar slicers—the BSM helps processors meet rising demand without compromising on quality. The result is higher efficiency, reduced waste and maximized yield with a surprisingly compact footprint.

Also on demo will be the FS-3600 MultiSystem, Sormac’s versatile slice and wedge cutter that combines advanced cutting technology with digital intelligence. This semi-automatic machine cuts a wide range of fruits and vegetables into wedges, slices or sticks. Its new Smart HMI (Human-Machine Interface) assists operators in real time – providing warnings during operations and tracking daily production to reduce errors, maintain consistent precise output, and allow processors to quickly respond to issues.
The FS-3600 MultiSystem also allows processors to program recipes choosing from various products, cutting styles, tray filling volumes and/or different belt types - leading to fast changeovers, consistent output and higher productivity. Intelligent sensors communicate with the HMI, ensuring the number of pieces in each tray match the pre-programmed volumes. This enables accurate portioning and provides valuable production data for analysis and workflow optimization. With unmatched capacity of up to 4,000 pieces per hour, the FS-3600 MultiSystem delivers exceptional performance and user friendliness.
