Global Strategy: Post-harvest solutions company StePacPPC (a division of PPC Flex) is launching an intensive trade show tour in October to showcase its patent-pending Xgo™ PAZ Pouch in Europe and North America—a 3-in-1 solution designed to maximize the shelf life of moisture-sensitive fresh produce.
Efficient cold chain management and precise control of cellular respiration in fresh fruits and vegetables have become essential pillars for reducing waste and ensuring commercial viability in long-distance shipments. Against this backdrop, StePacPPC is doubling down on active packaging innovation by simultaneously participating in Europe’s major horticulture event, Fruit Attraction 2026 (IFEMA Madrid, October 6–8), and the North American market’s premier gathering, the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show (Orlando, Florida, October 15–16).

The core of the technical offering lies in the new Xgo™ PAZ Pouch, a resealable pouch designed to protect the product from the processing center to the consumer's home. This 3-in-1 solution combines modified atmosphere, modified humidity, and condensation control in a single resealable pouch, keeping moisture-sensitive products dry and fresh from farm to fridge.
It integrates Modified Atmosphere (MAP) regulation, Relative Humidity (MAH) control, and passive anti-condensation agents into a single film. This combination prevents free water accumulation on the packaging walls, drastically reducing the risk of fungal rot in high-respiration fruits.
By slowing physiological aging and maintaining tissue firmness, the technology extends the retail shelf-life window and supports circular economy goals by reducing food waste at the destination.
The company’s team of experts in postharvest physiology and materials science will be available to meet visitors at Fruit Attraction (Madrid) and at IFPA Stand #2933 (Orlando) to discuss customized packaging optimization projects.
