Urschel will present processing solutions developed in partnership with German-based KRONEN at SNX, taking place March 29–31, 2026, in Dallas. The collaboration between the two companies, established in July 2025, has allowed Urschel to expand its product portfolio by incorporating selected KRONEN peelers, washers, dryers, and conveyors in key international markets.
Through this partnership, Urschel has broadened its range of food processing solutions by combining KRONEN’s expertise in fruit and vegetable preparation equipment with Urschel’s cutting technologies. The expanded portfolio enables the company to provide more comprehensive solutions for food processors addressing a wide range of processing applications.
Among the technologies featured is the Urschel SL-14 slicing head, designed for potato chip processing. With 14 cutting stations, the SL-14 offers nearly twice the capacity of the standard 8-shoe slicing head.

SL-14 slicing head developed by Urschel, featuring 14 cutting stations for high-capacity potato chip processing.
The slicing head incorporates micro-adjustability and quick-clamping technology, allowing knife changes to be completed with little or no tools and without removing the head from the machine. The design also optimizes the spacing of cutting stations to maximize slice engagement and maintain consistent cutting performance.
With its versatile slicing capabilities, the SL-14 enables processors to optimize potato chip production lines while improving operational efficiency over time.
