With the January dates approaching, registration remains open for the 2026 Fruit Ripening and Quality Management Workshop, a two-day technical event focused on fruit ripening and postharvest quality management that will take place on January 8–9, 2026, at the Savannah Convention Center in Georgia, alongside the Southeast Fruit and Vegetable Conference.
The workshop is sponsored by Catalytic Generators and QA Supplies, two companies with long-standing experience in ethylene application systems and quality control solutions for the fresh produce sector. Their involvement reflects the continued industry focus on improving ripening consistency, operational efficiency and fruit quality under commercial conditions.
The programme is aimed at professionals involved in fruit handling, ripening, storage and distribution who want to strengthen their understanding of postharvest biology and improve the management of ripening and quality across the supply chain.
Sessions will address key topics such as ethylene use and control, temperature management, decay prevention, ripening room design and quality evaluation. The agenda combines scientific foundations with practical approaches relevant to day-to-day ripening operations.
The workshop will be led by postharvest specialists from academic institutions and industry, bringing experience from both research and commercial fruit ripening programmes.
The event follows an in-person, interactive format designed to encourage technical discussion and the exchange of experience among participants. Attendance is limited, and organisers indicate that a minimum number of registrants is required for the workshop to take place.
The conference is currently in the regular registration period (December 13, 2025 to January 6, 2026), while participation in the Fruit Ripening and Quality Management Workshop is capped at 50 attendees.
As the workshop approaches, professionals interested in attending are advised to consult the official conference website for up-to-date registration information and the full programme.
Catalytic Generators’ sponsorship of the workshop is closely aligned with its long-standing focus on ethylene-based ripening technologies and its involvement in commercial fruit ripening operations worldwide. Together with QA Supplies, the company supports training initiatives that help translate postharvest science into practical, reliable tools for daily use across the fresh produce supply chain.
