Prior to joining ULMA Packaging, Mikel Martínez served as CEO of Burdinola, while also holding the position of President of Habic, the Basque and Navarre cluster for equipment, design and wood. He replaces Cecilio Lejarreta, who is retiring after 15 years at the helm of the company.
Martínez holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Deusto, completing his studies at the University of Westminster in London. He brings extensive experience in industrial companies in the Basque region.

His tenure was marked by close leadership, a strong commitment to innovation, and a key role in ULMA Packaging’s global expansion. Under his guidance, the company significantly boosted its international presence through new subsidiaries and the enhancement of production capabilities. Today, ULMA Packaging has 7 branches and 24 subsidiaries, along with a local distributor network that spans over 100 countries.
