ULMA Packaging will participate in Interpack 2026, where it will present its packaging technologies and integrated automation solutions aimed at demanding production environments, with particular focus on hygienic design and Wash Down-ready equipment. The trade fair will take place from May 7 to 13 at Messe Düsseldorf.

In today’s production environments, manufacturers require packaging systems that combine automation, sustainability, hygiene and operational reliability. ULMA Packaging addresses these requirements with solutions designed to protect product integrity and maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Tray sealing: new solutions and technological development

ULMA Packaging will showcase its tray sealing capabilities together with new technological developments. ULMA presents the new TSX 875 for Fast Skin applications as the first member of the future TSX generation of tray sealers. Designed for high-performance Fast Skin packaging, this platform is focused on improving performance, reliability, process control and robustness.

Alongside the TSX 875, the TSA 540 is presented as a solution for MAP and Skin applications, offering fast format changes and reliable production performance. This solution is complemented by an integrated dosing system for ready meals. The TSA 540 combines a robust hygienic design with up to 21 cycles/min in MAP, making it suitable for medium-to-high production environments.

Developments such as LEAFSKIN® on flat cardboard, R-Skin™ technology, which allows up to a 50% reduction in plastic tray material, and the CUT-ON TRAY system for optimised film usage are also included.

Vertical packaging: hygiene, flexibility and resource efficiency

ULMA Packaging will present the VTC 840 WD vertical bagger, a Wash Down solution designed for fresh, frozen and sensitive products that require intensive cleaning.

The machine is designed to optimise resource use, reducing both energy and air consumption while maintaining high performance levels.

The integration of TightBag™ technology minimises excess air inside the package without the need for perforation, optimising bag size and reducing material consumption. Meanwhile, SealFlex™ sealing technology allows operation with a wide range of materials, including paper.

Flow Pack for high-demand environments

ULMA Packaging will exhibit Flow Pack solutions such as the FR 400 Twin, equipped with an automatic feeding system based on linear motor technology. This system enables independent and synchronised control of product carriers, ensuring precise positioning, smoother handling and higher speeds compared to mechanical systems.

The Wash Down capabilities of the FM 400 Flow Pack machine will also be presented. With a stainless steel construction and minimum IP66 protection, it is suitable for environments requiring intensive cleaning. The machine is designed for high-speed MAP applications and incorporates a Long-Dwell sealing head capable of reaching up to 150 ppm.

High-performance thermoforming

The TFX thermoformer is presented as a solution for demanding applications, combining hygienic design, performance and operational availability. It enables the use of sustainable materials while maintaining packaging quality.

It incorporates technologies such as Motion Control, which increases productivity by up to 10%, and an optimised vacuum system that reduces cycle times by up to 20%.

Integrated packaging line automation

ULMA Packaging will also present integrated packaging lines covering the complete process, from primary packaging to end-of-line automation.

In this context, its collaboration with RAMA for end-of-line automation solutions is highlighted. Configurations on display include fully automated secondary packaging systems —case forming, product loading, closing and robotic palletising— as well as gravity-based automatic case packing solutions that optimise space while maintaining high performance levels.

The company will be located at Hall 5 – Stand 5C23.
