COPIMA, dedicated to the logistics of food distribution, undertakes its new activity in premiering its facilities, located in Puebla de Castro (Huesca).
With a surface area of 9,750 m³ for its product conditioning activities distributed in cold and conservation rooms (7,200 m³) and for freezing (2,550 m³).
ISOFRED designed and executed the project, under the criteria of using natural refrigerants and to achieve maximum energy efficiency.
For the cooling of chambers and rooms with temperatures above 0⁰C degrees was through a system flooded by gravity of ammonia that cools a secondary fluid for food use at a temperature of -8⁰C.
For freezing, it was by means of a subcritical CO² system at a temperature of -35⁰C to supply all services.
This design has great advantages in terms of energy efficiency and safety, isolating toxic fluids in the engine room and achieving a better COP.
In the work rooms, the KFL and FRIMETAL equipment was used, with a specific design that combines minimal discomfort to workers with a simple dismantling operation to comply with the Cleaning and Disinfection protocols.
