ULO / XLO controlled atmosphere for fruit preservation

After harvesting, the fruit undergoes a change in colour, firmness and flavour (sugar level, acidity, aromas) through respiration.

The controlled atmosphere makes it possible to preserve certain fruits and vegetables two to three times longer compared to normal refrigeration, while maintaining a much higher freshness and firmness.

ABSOGER has developed systems for fruit preservation in ULO and XLO that combine extremely low O2 and CO2 preservation rates.


Equipment:
1. CO2 adsorber to remove carbon dioxide produced by fruit respiration.
2. PSA nitrogen generator, to produce nitrogen autonomously and reduce the O2 level by displacement.
3. Electromechanical system for automatic gas management.
4. Computer supervision with remote control via PC or Smartphone.
5. Portable O2/CO2/C2H4 analyser to analyse and control gas levels.
6. Ethylene catalyst, to achieve very low concentrations in chamber
